Lead Tourism Counselor

The Virginia Tourism Corporation is seeking a Lead Tourism Counselor for its Virginia Welcome Center at New Kent. The center is open 7 days per week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This individual will provide travel information and assistance to the traveling public, restock brochure racks, assist the welcome center manager and assistant manager with daily operations and perform general office duties.Skills:Ability to work independently in a heavy volume customer service environmentAbility to lift up to 40 pounds, including extensive walking and standingExcellent customer service skillsAbility to interact with the publicBasic math and computer skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeRequirements:Holiday and weekend work is requiredKnowledge of Virginia's travel product, roads, and highway systems preferredTravel industry experience preferredValid driver's license requiredAll candidates must apply through our website .
