At Associated Materials / Alside, your contributions will provide an immediate and lasting impact, helping us achieve what is possible.What You'll Do:Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day production activities to ensure coordination across all aspects of the manufacturing process, including productivity, people, maintenance, and Lean initiatives with respects to safety and quality. The Production Supervisor optimizes resources to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, customer satisfaction, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. You will set clear goals and expectations for your team, provide the necessary tools and support, removes obstacles to success, and holds team members visibly accountable for achieving successful results.What To Expect:Safety and Compliance:Promote a strong safety culture by prioritizing the health and safety of all team members and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to follow established standards. Hold the authority to stop or modify work processes due to non-conformance or unsafe conditions.Production Planning and Coordination:Plan and organize daily production schedules to optimize the use of equipment, personnel, and materials. Coordinate all aspects of manufacturing, including assembling, inspection, processing, and tracking to achieve production goals. Ensure product quality by enforcing compliance with established specifications and quality standards.Leadership and Team member Relations:Provide strong leadership, training, and team-building to support operational objectives. Communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and evaluate team member results. Collaborate with HR on recruitment, performance evaluations, merit increases, disciplinary actions, and talent development. Resolve personnel issues by investigating concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending corrective actions.Process Monitoring and Quality Control:Analyze production and quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Monitor operational reports to maintain best practices in assembling, processing, and re-handling. Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and disruptions.Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:Lead the inspection and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to address equipment issues and optimize production efficiency.Communication and Collaboration:Effectively communicate with team members, management, and other production supervisors to ensure alignment on production goals, progress, and challenges. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support continuous improvement initiatives.Performance and Reporting:Compile and analyze performance records and data to provide manufacturing insights. Monitor progress towards production goals, resolve operational challenges, and report on key performance metrics.What We're Looking For:We are looking for someone who is confident in taking charge and adept at solving problems. To succeed, you will need the following:Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in building materials.Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Postsecondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Leadership Skills: You know how to lead a team with respect and get results.Safety-First Mindset: You understand and demonstrate the importance of a safe work environment.Problem-Solver: When issues come up, you're quick to find a solution. Communication: Your ability to communicate is effective through written and verbal techniques.Safety-First Mindset: You understand the importance of a safe work environmentWork EnvironmentThe atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant and office space. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Team members must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from cool to warm. Frequent use of company communication devices is required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
