Job Description: This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. Generative AI (GenAI) presents an exciting opportunity to derive valuable insights from data and drive revenue growth, efficiencies, and improved business processes. Technology will collaborate with Global Markets Sales & Trading, Quantitative Strategies & Data Group (QSDG) & Platform teams to design and build out its global GenAI platform. The Platform Engineer will lead the planning and buildout of the GenAI infrastructure. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing, managing platform & application dependencies, and ensuring efficient use of environments. You will ensure quality and speed in releases by maintaining consistency across environments, documenting variations, and automating deployment activities to reduce errors. You will connect with various teams & processes like IT asset management and test management. Responsibilities: Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Mentors other software engineers and coaches team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack. Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Automates manual release activities. Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Global Market Technology's Lab platform. Define requirements for effective software delivery. Collaborating with team and with partners in QSDG and Platform to define, build, test, and deploy platform meeting requirements. Following standards & best practices related to platform management. Evaluate third-party products to meet scalability, resiliency, and performance. Leverage existing platforms to automate setup, installation, verification, monitoring, and provisioning processes. Maintaining a central, version-controlled inventory of all environments, including their current versions and configuration settings. Analyzing data to identify and proactively address environment-related issues. Working with project teams to manage costs & improve efficiency of environments. Partnering closely with Prod Support and Engineering to deploy & support applications. Technical Qualifications: Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining end to end environments, from POC to production. Deep understanding of hardware, software, network, data & application configuration. DevOps processes and CICD tooling (Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Datival, Artifactory, Ansible), orchestration & automation. Multi-tier (Python based) web application stack microservices/serverless/loosely coupled architecture. Mix of on-premises and cloud based, containerized (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) deployment models. Familiarity with no-SQL (MongoDB) and relational (SQL Server/Oracle) databases, and other various forms Object, Vector, and file stores. Unix scripting, Python development skills, familiarity with non-relational databases. Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring & reporting for GPU/CPU & memory consumption, inference latency and model performance. Non-Technical Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer & support teams). Meticulous & highly organized. Adaptable to shifting & competing priorities. Skilled at setting expectations. Critical thinking skills to diagnose & resolve complex issues. Additional Experience (not essential): Familiarity with AI & Deep learning, modeling techniques, Generative AI application stack. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch). GPU cluster management (CUDA/Kubernetes), auto-scaling & scheduling (Triton Inference Server). 3+ years in similar roles in the financial industry. Higher education in IT field or relevant previous work experience.
