Java Developer with Cassandra

Responsibilities: Monitor Cassandra clusters, performance, and capacity planning. Manage nodes of Datastax (Cassandra/SOLR) cluster. Cassandra cluster connectivity and security. Datastax Software installation and configuration. Datastax Software patches and upgrades. Using monitoring and management tools (e.g., DataStax OpsCenter). Database backup and recovery. Qualifications: Certification as Datastax Administrator or Developer. Experience in relational database. Strong understanding of SQL in accessing and manipulating data. Strong understanding of system architecture. Experience with a variety of file formats (XML, JSON, unstructured data, etc.). Experience in database performance tuning required. Experience in database upgrades required. Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and production support. Understanding of Unix and Linux operating systems. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Unix shell scripting.
