Production Supervisor Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Production Oversight: o Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes. o Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Staff Supervision: o Lead, supervise, and support production associates. o Compose and deliver performance evaluations. Corrective action notices and provide constructive feedback. Quality Control: o Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards. o Address and rectify issues affecting product quality. Inventory Management: o Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory. o Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels. Process Optimization: o Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions. o Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Safety Compliance: o Enforce and promote safety protocols. o Conduct regular safety training for production personnel. Communication: o Effectively collaborate with site cross-functional partners. (e.g., quality, logistics, maintenance). o Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully effectively to ensure smooth operations. Training and Development: o Train new production employees. o Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge. Problem Resolution: o Address and resolve production-related issues promptly. o Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards. (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.) o Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly. Equipment Maintenance: o Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment. o Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Documentation: o Maintain accurate production records and reports. o Generate reports for management on production metrics. Minimum Qualifications: o Two (2) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment. o One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles. Preferred Qualifications: o Strong leadership background - ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce. o Ability to manage and develop employees. o Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
