DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Water Truck DriverDEPARTMENT: Waste ServicesREPORTS TO: Director of Waste ServicesDESCRIPTION: The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting petroleum contact water from 55-gallon drums and other containments at convenience stores and gas stations and transporting it to approved waste facilities for processing while following all regulations and client requirements. Represent and promote MVI Field Services in a courteous and cordial manner, building client confidence and maximum efficiency for the business. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to travel on a regular basis.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to understand and follow instructions in English Be in possession of a valid U.S. driver's license Clean driving recordAbility to drive and maintain company service truckTravel up to 3 weeks per month (company absorbs travel expenses)Must complete a pre-employment drug test, physical (including DOT), and comprehensive background check.Complete Class A/B Operator training and certificationDevelop a working knowledge of client Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) componentsRemain current on State and Federal EPA USTS requirementsPerform annual testing on USTS and fuel facilities for complianceReplace components and parts such as decals, gaskets, riser caps and manway covers, etc.Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good operating condition, including having vehicle serviced for preventative maintenanceKeep abreast of changes to equipment manufactures specifications and State UST RegulationsResponsible for following company expense policy and submitting all itemized receipts for expenses by the 3rd of each monthSubmit all reports timely and accurately, including monthly schedules and expenses in the appropriate software systemsMARGINAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to lift up to 70 poundsAbility to follow strict safety and technical protocolsAble to kneel, stand, lean, bend, sit, walk on uneven surfaces, and drive for long distancesAbility to work outdoors and in various weather conditionsBasic computer skills, and ability to navigate applications on Smart PhonesPrevious maintenance experience preferredExperience using handheld toolsEligible to work in the United StatesMaintain a professional appearance including wearing company-provided attireMaintain a friendly and positive attitude with client representatives and store personnelEXPECTATIONS: Drivers are expected to pick up/drop off based on the assigned route within the assigned timeframe Accurately report on waste moved using company provided smartphoneMust be reliableHave attention to detail and outstanding work ethicThe statements contained herein reflect the general details as necessary to describe the functions of this position and the level of knowledge and skill typically required, and the general scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive list of the job requirements.
