The job listing expires on February 27, 2025. Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30AM-5:00PMPay Rate: $21.00 per hour. Reports to: HR Director This is an entry-mid level benefit administration support position. The ideal candidate will have prior HR Assistant or finance-related work history. The Human Resources / Talent Management team supports a growing network of more than 2000 employees in the Hudson Valley region. Our HR staff are located in Middletown, Mt. Vernon, and Queens, NY. The primary tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing duties related to benefit administration, education materials, staff communication, and open enrollment. Supporting the team with internal/external audit oversight management processes. Preparing and analyzing Benefit and Occupational Health monthly or weekly invoices. Supporting project assignments in all Human Resource disciplines, including employee relations, benefits, and risk management. Balancing multiple priorities. Acting as a team player. Providing excellent customer service and working well under pressure. The HR Specialist has the skills and desire to gather and compile information and input data into appropriate systems, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and other data management systems, including Ceridian Dayforce and Cornerstone products. Qualifications: 1-3 years of related experience: Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including benefits, cultural competency, safety, and federal and state respective employment laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results. Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex benefit issues. Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. Be self-directed and motivated. Experience managing remote locations. Position Responsibilities May Involve, but are not limited to: Demonstrated competency with benefit administrative functions regarding education, plan design, program options, etc. Supporting staff with policy and procedure interpretation, navigation, and administration. Internet navigation and online data management system support. Identify training needs for departments and individuals. Collaborating with leadership to provide analysis and data reporting metrics.
