We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a key leadership position. This pivotal role involves overseeing configuration management activities and ensuring the efficient management of configurations for nacelles and aerostructures throughout the product lifecycle. The position we are recruiting for, known as the "Lead Configuration Manager," will play a critical role in the following essential responsibilities: Providing comprehensive configuration management for various Nacelle components and assemblies, including thrust reversers, inlets, and fan cowls. Developing, maintaining, and enforcing robust configuration management plans to support design development and production processes. Establishing configuration baselines and effectively processing engineering changes in collaboration with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal teams. Coordinating and meticulously tracking configuration changes while adhering to compliance standards. Executing product processes to ensure configuration control from the initial design phase to product delivery. Chairing program Configuration Change Boards to evaluate change requests, determine their classifications and business impacts, and oversee the engineering change process. Maintaining configuration control throughout the product lifecycle and conducting configuration management audits as needed. Generating, controlling, and preserving documentation related to configuration management data, especially concerning configuration changes and audits. Driving the team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Configuration Management Processes. Continuously reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of configuration management processes, leading efforts for ongoing improvement in collaboration with internal functions, customers, and suppliers to meet product and program requirements. Ensuring the proper implementation of the configuration management process within the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system. Position Requirements: Desired Characteristics: Strong analytical and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal and leadership qualities. Proven ability to collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and engage effectively with customers. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in problem identification and solution skills. Aptitude for addressing and resolving conflicts. Proficient in using MS Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience in utilizing a PLM system for configuration management. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Information Management, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience. Ability to provide on-site support at Middle River.
