Providing training and career development opportunities and emphasizing strong support for our local communities through philanthropic initiatives are essential to our culture.ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President will lead the day-to-day Fund Treasury operations including payment processing, capital activity, bank account management, bank portal user administration and bank relationship management for Oaktree's funds and managed accounts. In addition, the individual will take a lead role with projects, transformation, and technology implementations. This person will also collaborate with internal teams and the firm's financial institutions on various initiatives to increase automation, improve processes, identify, and evaluate technology-based solutions, and establish straight-through-processing.Responsibilities include:Develop, implement and maintain necessary governance documentation including policies and procedures, controls, and process flows over treasury activitiesOversight of bank accounts and managing interest bearing options for excess cash inclusive of sweep accountsAssist and support a future Treasury Management System (TMS) implementationOversight of future TMS upgrades and/or maintenance with internal teams while managing impact to daily operationsSupport and manage system integrations between internal and external systems while monitoring data flows for accuracyAssist approval related tasks which can include: payments, payment templates, bank account requests and account data validation across various platformsRollout and train users on system, features and/or enhancements which have impact on existing processesProvide leadership and guidance to Treasury team fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork and communicationPartner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Treasury, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Legal and Risk to achieve organizational goalsLead transformation projects including technology-enabled initiatives while clearly presenting ROI and efficienciesAssist in internal audit, risk management and compliance reviews working as a subject matter expert to address action items to strengthen our controls and mitigate riskStrengthen bank relationships with regular reviews across financial institutions including investment banks, prime brokers and custodians to improve Oaktree's banking structure and cash managementDevelop Bank Fee Analysis across banking relationshipsIdentify and communicate critical roadblocks, prioritization, resource allocation, and key decision makingDevelop KPIs and metrics, analyzing trends and introduce reporting to key stakeholdersPerforming various other tasks and projects as requiredQualifications10+ years of experience in Treasury and/or Cash Management Operations7+ years of management experience and proven success as a leaderInvestment management or global financial services experience preferredExperience with various financial institutions including investment banks, custodians and prime brokersLeadership experience in Treasury transformation while instilling best practices and appropriate controls and segregation of dutiesExperience with a TMS, Workday, Geneva platforms preferredKnowledge of bank connectivity preferred including SWIFT MT & MX Messaging (MT101, MT102, MT103, MT202, MT900, BAI, BAI2) and ACH paymentsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS SharePoint/Teams or equivalent applicationsCTP a plusPersonal AttributesExhibits sound judgment and decision-making with minimal supervision while understanding when to escalate risk areasEffectively demonstrates strong time management and multi-tasking skills across competing deliverables; able to prioritize and to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills; ability to create and present materialSuccessfully leads and manages large scale projects and/or time sensitive priorities while reporting status updates, risks and accomplishments to various stakeholdersFlexible team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to shift priorities, demands and timelinesActively engages within the Company, recognized as a resource and trusted, collaborative partnerEducationBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fieldBase Salary Range$165,000 - $200,000In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.
