The Financial Strategy team at Hudson River Trading (HRT) is responsible for strategic finance initiatives, FP&A, capital management and corporate development. We're looking for someone with an interest in financial technology, capital markets, financial analysis, and strategy to join as a senior member of our team. We work closely with other teams at HRT to analyze business opportunities, improve processes, and interact with external parties.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis:Contribute to analysis for presentations delivered to senior managementContribute to capital modeling for regular forecast updates and strategic initiativesAssist in analyzing monthly/quarterly results, including monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to managementStrategic Finance Initiatives:Develop solutions to key strategic and operational issuesContribute to and build analytical frameworks and conduct complex business analysisStructure work plans and project scope to optimize impact on high priority issuesPresent recommendations and lead discussions with all levels of managementSynthesize inputs, identify critical insights, and develop compelling recommendations for both internal and external audiencesCorporate Development & Special Projects:Assist in review of potential new investments, including research into new markets and industry trends, financial modeling, returns analysis, and company valuationPerform external market research and develop sector expertise to assist in identifying and sourcing new deals for potential investmentAd-hoc projects for senior managementCapital Markets:Assist in the development of firm debt capital markets strategy; including ratings management, investor relations, and deal executionContribute to firmwide capital management analysisQualifications5-10 years of experience in strategic finance or a similar role at a trading firm,exchange, Investment Bank Sales & Trading division or a capital markets tech-focused financial company is required.Investment Banking or Management Consulting experience a plusExceptional communication skillsA high level of complex, conceptual problem-solving abilityStrong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detailKnowledge of financial services and capital markets a plusBA/BS in finance or a related fieldFamiliarity with computer programming (Python, SQL a plus)Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
