POSITION SUMMARY:Primary responsibilities are to provide leadership to the production personnel on the operating floor and excellence in the demonstration of the commitment to our safety and quality initiatives.The Production Supervisor is responsible for coaching, training, and developing direct reports in safety, quality, production, problem solving, and technical skills involved in the operation of the production floor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for communicating and working with other department managers, the Production team, and Customer Service to ensure quality and on-time production goals are met. Responsibilities:Works with Safety to support excellence within the plantAchieve quality initiatives by leading processes to ensure lowest cost and best quality - KPI'sMinimizing waste within the department by driving awareness, training, and accountabilityDrive the 5s Initiatives / housekeepingDrive maximum throughput within the department by increasing uptimes and machine speedsWork with the Maintenance team to maintain machine cleanliness, PM schedules, and work orders.Supports the Quality Manager by reviewing boxes saved and factory ticket master checklists for specifications.Participate in new item meetings with customer service, design, sales, and production.Review and analyze production reporting for accuracy.Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness -Trains and mentor hourly employees to achieve production goals by reviewing filed setups and recorded run speeds.Analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly production statistics for production to improve quality and efficiency.Manages daily Op to Op action register to address operators concerns on efficiencies, quality, and machine maintenance.Implement and manage "Circle One" box program.Develop and implement a new hire training program for career development.Identifies and implements systems and procedures designed to improve operations and makes necessary recommendations (i.e. critique the 3 elements of setup, manage machine readiness, manage setup procedures, zeroing of machines, creates statistical charts, spaghetti diagrams, video setups, etc.)Maintains Performance boards daily.Performs other related duties as required/assignedManages Plant ToolingMUST HAVE:High school graduate or equivalentEight of more years in a corrugated manufacturing environmentFive or more years in a leadership experienceCustomer service-related experience; or equivalent training and experience in other plant operationsAbility to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and work in a team environment essentialBasic computer experience (word processing, Excel and PowerPoint)
