With global distribution and sites located throughout North American and Europe, Washington Mills opens the door to a world of opportunity, creativity, and challenge.What You'll DoThe Production Superintendent will be a key player in the management of two electric arc furnaces and several crushing, grading, and warehousing operations. This position will play a vital role in improving Washing Mills' competitiveness, including driving change to make the operations more consistent, safer, and efficient. The Production Superintendent will report directly to the Plant Manager and work with various departments.Oversee three supervisors and demonstrate strong supervisory skillsTake a hands-on approach to mentoring and training of production staff in areas of change and to ensure best practices are performed and maintainedCollect and analyze plant processes, procedures, and performance using data from Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and make recommendations for improvementConduct time studies to ensure processes are hitting established targets, identify inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvementUtilize Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and develop solutions that drive operational improvement Incorporate 5S methodology in all work areas to provide employees with a clean and organized workspace Work closely with the safety department to train and monitor subordinates to ensure a safe working environmentWhat You'll NeedTo be successful in this position, you must:Possess a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or a closely related fieldHave a minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in an industrial environmentBe detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, and the ability to lead team membersHave a strong commitment to safety and work in a highly organized mannerCompensationWe proudly offer robust compensation and benefits packages, including:Competitive pay, commensurate with experienceHeavily subsidized medical and dental plansEmployer-sponsored retirement planCompany-paid life insuranceImmediate paid vacation and generous holiday timeFamily-friendly sick and personal leave policiesOpportunities for career developmentInterested?
