Massara is a new resturant from the Rezdí´ra team and is dedicated to the food and hospitality of the Campania region in Italy. The restaurant was founded by CIA graduate Chef Stefano Secchi and entrepreneur David Switzer and we are located in the Flatiron district of New York City. We are currently looking for a passionate barback who loves Italian food, wine, cocktails and culture to join our team. Our ideal candidate posesses a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism. Under the direction of the Bar team, the incumbent maintains adequate levels of bar supplies and equipment as required and a high standard of cleanliness to the bar areas to ensure high caliber service to our guests. Responsibilities: Maintains bar area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles. Ensures that ample supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice and garnishes are available during service periods. Completes all established bar setup duties in a timely manner. Performs work assignments directed by bartender or beverage management. Knowledgeable of and adherence to food and beverage department regulations and procedures. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Job Requirements: 2 years experience in similar role preferred Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual. Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service. Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays). Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
