Marlow Events, a full-service catering and event production company from The Marlow Collective, is seeking an Executive Chef to join our leadership team. We offer: Competitive salary + commission bonus structure Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance at 90 days Industry leading paid time off + paid family leave 401k plan access beginning at hire Discounts across our group of businesses + monthly internal and external dining stipends Annual education allowance to support your professional growth Access to our Employee Emergency Assistance Program for added support Key Responsibilities Menu development, including f our seasonal menus per year (spring, summer, fall, and winter) for cocktail, wedding and corporate events including canapes, platters, seated dinners, and desserts Liaise with our sales, planning, and production team to ensure timely response to booking requests and client needs Schedule, organize, and monitor BOH labor and productivity across multiple prep and event kitchens, including on- and off-site catering Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly food production calendars to ensure timely preparation and execution of events and drop-off catering orders Direct inventory maintenance and ordering of all food, smallwares, and kitchen equipment Establish a DOH protocol and enforce compliance Communicate with the Facilities Manager to ensure any necessary kitchen maintenance or equipment projects are addressed Work with the Marlow Events leadership team to: Develop and implement systems and processes that are effective, efficient, and compliant with all laws, regulations, and internal policies Continuously recruit and hire candidates in order to build a strong and committed team, including trailing potential cooks and evaluating their competency and skill level Teach, train, and mentor all culinary staff to foster the conditions for success on team and individual levels Resolve conflict and conduct coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline through equitable and consistent policies Manage with empathy and integrity and ensure strong, respectful, productive communication across all teams Participate in regularly scheduled meetings regarding the overall strategy and success of the business, including quarterly financials meetings and HR trainings Skills and Abilities A minimum of 3 years leading a team in a catering- and event-focused culinary position required Available for a Tuesday - Saturday schedule with flexibility as required by event needs Organized and detail-oriented: must have the ability to create systems for managing daily tasks Works well under pressure: must be able to gracefully respond to demand in a fast-paced environment Self-starter: must have the desire to drive the business forward and understand its many moving parts Motivated, with a high level of energy and work ethic Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluency with Tripleseat, Microsoft Office, and the Google suite A Driver's License is helpful, but not required The Marlow Collective is a group of New York hospitality brands including the restaurants Diner, Marlow and Sons, Roman's, Achilles Heel, and Borgo; breads bakery She Wolf; whole-animal butcher and grocery Marlow and Daughters; catering company Marlow Events; and Stranger Wines and Spirits.
