We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager for our restaurant and real estate client in Chicago! The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing all financial information and reporting in a well-organized manner, and assisting senior management in all aspects related to finance for the organization. Responsibilities Day-to-day oversight of the finance function to ensure timely processing of all cash management, fixed asset, and accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Responsible for the efficient and accurate month end closing procedures. Adhere to the consolidated financial reporting timetable and work with the broader teams to ensure our deliverables are met. Create and post journals to ensure PandL and Balance sheet accuracy and integrity. Month-end PandL accounts analysis and commentaries. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, and ensure any variances are investigated and rectified. Provide accurate and timely reporting to the business. Manage and optimize cash flow and working capital. Perform analysis and activities at a Group level as required by key stakeholders. Assist in audit processes as required. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings SME for all business partner relations and local finance queries. Maintain a strong understanding and depth of knowledge of all brand operations for appropriate application of IFRS, finance processes and operations, performance KPI's and drivers, commercial understanding, and the ability to lead ad hoc projects. Proactively identify and act on new/ongoing areas of opportunity through both finance and non-finance operational efficiencies, process improvements, and cost savings opportunities. Evaluate the effective use of accounting software and automation tools to streamline processes and reduce manual work. Meeting specific team objectives and metrics and supporting the business to achieve company-wide objectives. Ability to work effectively with the accounting team, finance department, and other departments within the organization. Collaborate with Group Finance Manager to implement changes and enhancements to processes and systems. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years experience in accounting Previous experience in an accounting position with a restaurant, hospitality, or real estate Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient with MS Office and various accounting and payroll software Compensation and Benefits Base salary $85,000+ DOE Bonus potential Medical/Dental/Vision insurance PTO and sick days
