Please email Dan with any questions.*** The Head Lifeguard/Instructor provides supervision and support of the staff and patrons in the facility with an emphasis in maintaining and enforcing rules and regulations to provide a safe aquatic environment. Acts as facility supervisor in the absence of the Aquatic Program Director.Reports to:Aquatics Program DirectorEssential Job Functions: 1. Follow all essential job functions for both lifeguard and instructor job descriptions2. Serve as a mentor for lifeguards and instructors3. Report any employee incidents to Director4. To ensure safe and effect programs, rules and regulations will be enforced in a consistent manner 5. Ensure the facility is properly secured at closing time6. Complete all necessary forms for documentation of shift detail7. Participate and assist in the conduction of staff meetings and training 8. Addresses issues and concerns that occur while on duty9. Responsible for documenting and reporting issues and concerns to the Aquatics Program Director10. Comply with the rules and procedures as defined in the employee handbookMarginal Job Functions:1. All other duties as assigned which relate to the functions of the job Qualifications Job Requirements/Qualifications:1. Current certification in Lifeguarding from a nationally recognized association (Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis etc)2. Current certification in First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized association (American Heart Association, Red Cross etc.) 3. Current certification in ARC Water Safety Instructor4. Lifeguard Training Instructor certification5. Posses supervisory skills6. Available to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends7. Ability to respond to emergencies in a professional and mature manner8.
