Program Director | Leading Strategy, Operations & Program Development for Neurodiverse Community Initiatives Location: New York City (Hybrid) Reports To: Founder/Executive Director Job Type: 1-Year Contract with potential for permanent employment. About Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity will be New York City's first comprehensive community center dedicated to supporting children with neurodiverse minds and their caretakers. We provide centralized, compassionate, and cost-effective resources, including diagnostics, therapy, legal and financial assistance, and caretaker support. Our mission is to remove barriers for families seeking high-quality care and innovative therapeutic solutions. We are in the early stages, with a goal of securing $3M-$10M in Year 1 to establish our brick-and-mortar center and fund key programming. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and visionary fundraising leader who thrives in startup nonprofit environments and understands the nuances of hybrid models that blend nonprofit and for-profit structures. Position Overview Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity is seeking a highly proactive, innovative, and results-driven Fundraising Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts. This is a pivotal role in our early-stage growth, requiring a leader with a strong track record in securing multi-million-dollar donations, leading large-scale campaigns, and cultivating relationships with donors and strategic partners. This role is perfect for someone who is resourceful, action-oriented, and thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a high-impact fundraising strategy to raise $3M-$10M in Year 1, prioritizing major gifts, individual donors, large-scale campaigns, and events (e.g., launch event, annual gala, etc.). Lead and oversee fundraising activations that resonate with donors, including immersive storytelling, experiential campaigns, and influencer collaborations. Implement a hybrid funding approach, leveraging both nonprofit and for-profit models to maximize revenue streams. Major Gifts & Donor Cultivation Identify, cultivate, and steward individuals and philanthropic donors to secure transformational gifts. Develop tailored donor engagement strategies, leveraging in-person and digital storytelling, curated donor experiences, and direct impact reports. Build and sustain long-term relationships with individual donors and family foundations. Strategic Campaigns & Events Plan, oversee, and execute high-profile fundraising campaigns and activations, including an annual gala, peer-to-peer fundraising, and community-driven initiatives. Oversee the development of a Founding Members initiative to engage key donors in a long-term commitment to Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity. Manage and leverage our podcast and media partnerships, and social impact storytelling to enhance donor engagement. Corporate & Institutional Partnerships Cultivate partnerships with companies, healthcare institutions, and wellness brands that align with our mission. Lead efforts to secure major corporate sponsorships, philanthropic investments, and CSR partnerships. Oversee initial development of institutional giving strategy, with a longer-term focus on corporate and grant funding. Research and apply for large-scale, multi-year grants from foundations and government programs. Manage grant reporting and compliance, ensuring alignment with funder expectations. Develop compelling case statements, proposals, and funding pitches tailored to diverse donor audiences. What We're Looking For Required: 7+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably in a startup, hybrid model, or entrepreneurial organization. Proven success in securing multi-million-dollar gifts and leading high-impact campaigns. Deep experience in individual giving, major donor relations, and large-scale fundraising campaigns. Existing relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundations in NYC or nationally. Experience working with neurodiverse teams and understanding the importance of inclusive fundraising.
