* ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES* Major Responsibilities * Under general supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, perform responsible work to assist managers in the Urban Park Service division. * Manage the manager's and conference room schedule. Initiate and coordinate meetings and conference calls. Prepare necessary meeting materials. * Attend internal and external meetings as directed. Take notes and follow up as needed. * Collate prepared information into cohesive reports and documents on a regular basis for review and use by Assistant Commissioner, Chief of Staff and Chief of Administrative Services for Urban Park Service. * Utilize data provided by supervisors and project managers to create and maintain spreadsheets and charts. * Provide general support services, including typing, filing, answering phones, and responding to inquiries. * Assist supervisors with special projects as needed. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Preferred Skills 1. Associate or bachelor's degree. 2. Attention to detail ability to handle sensitive/confidential information. 3. Excellent administrative, communication and organizational skills. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, Forms, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. 5. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
