Tax Director (Alternative Asset Management) Our client is a global Investment Fund based in NYC currently seeking to add a Tax Director to lead their Tax Reporting & Accounting Team. The ideal individual will partner with the Head of Tax and work closely with the CFO to provide expert assistance with respect to all Tax Accounting/Reporting and Tax Compliance related matters. This is a newly created role, working with the firm's Executives, who will play a pivotal role in Executive leadership and drive the policies and procedures for the Tax Group moving deeper into 2024 and beyond. Responsibilities Responsible for tax accounting, internal and external reporting, disclosures, and forecasting. Review partnership allocations of income for investment partnerships and issue K-1s to investors. Ensure tax provisions are calculated accurately and in accordance with US GAAP & SOX. Work closely with the Tax Managing Director on tax structuring for various clients of different tax profiles. Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including estimates and planning, for public & private entities. Monitor legislative changes in tax laws that may impact the firm's tax positions. Review complex tax returns. Advise the Management Team on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax or Accounting. CPA/MBA and/or MST not required (strongly preferred). 7+ years of partnership tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience. Well versed in Corporate, S-Corp, and/or Partnership returns including SEC. Experience with Alteryx, Power Automate, or Power BI.
