Commercial Lines Account Manager

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Ft. Myers, FL. The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides commercial lines support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts. How You Will Contribute: * Answer and process all telephone requests, process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts * Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the company's carriers * Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations * Validate coverage and ratings policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc. * Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence/requests, and expiration records * Process premium finance agreements as needed * Prepare billings and/or invoices on a timely basis * Advise accounting of the appropriate posting of moneys received on assigned accounts * Assist in the collection of premiums and audits * Provide back-up to other Account Managers as assigned * Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company marketing representatives and underwriters * Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating Licenses and Certifications: * Florida 4-40 license * Florida 2-20 License Skills & Experience to Be Successful: * High school diploma * Associate's or Bachelor's degree * Proficient with MS Office Suite * 2 years of service experience in the insurance industry * Industry software experience #LI-CJ1 Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including: * Health Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance * Financial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement * Mental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services * Beyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more.
