Job Description Proposed Work Location: Census Bureau Headquarters, Suitland, Maryland SNAP is pursuing a contract with the U.S. Census Bureau to provide an experienced Sr. Business and Solution Architect . The preferred candidate will possess prior Census Bureau experience, excellentpeople and leadership skills, and great communication and presentation skills. This position will lead and will serve as a mentor for a team of Business and Solution Architects on a large program supported by more than 100 full-time employees. The selected candidate will perform the following duties (this is not a comprehensive list of all duties to be performed): Assist in the documentation and establishment of processes, templates and tools required to develop and manage business and solution architecture. Ensure architecture supporting major programs in the Decennial Directorate are in alignment and compliance with the Bureau's enterprise architecture. Support the development of business and solution architecture designs. Provide expertise in business process and analytical modeling concepts, techniques and tools. Develop and maintain business process models, interface data flow documentation (e.g.data exchanges and system interconnections), Integrated Operations diagrams and functional and technical diagrams. Qualifications Technical Qualifications/Requirements Qualified candidates should have: Previous experience working as a Business and Solutions Architect on a similar-sized project. Architecture Support (requires at least one certification): The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Integration Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SDLC (waterfall and agile). Working knowledge of software methods and best practices. Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills; Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills. Understanding and experience with information security requirements and practices. Expert knowledge for integration of software in commercial cloud environment. Experience with the following: Automated tools (e.g., HP ALM/PPM, JIRA Agile etc.) for test case development and defecttracking; Serena Version Manager and Serena Business Manager; User Interfacesystems; Verifying requirements are testable and generate testing objectives; Conductingan effective requirements review; Writing SQL statements; Performing databasequeries using SQL; Viewing and updating Oracle tables. Statistical sampling techniques and statistical concepts.
