Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist (CT Tech) to join our imaging team. The CT Tech is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans to help diagnose medical conditions and assist in the treatment of patients. This role involves working closely with patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during the imaging process, as well as operating and maintaining CT equipment. The CT Technologist plays a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality imaging results while adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Verify patient identity and medical history. Performing CT Scans: Operate CT equipment to obtain detailed cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Ensure the proper positioning of patients to capture accurate and clear images. Imaging Protocols: Follow established imaging protocols for each type of CT exam. Adjust settings and parameters on the CT scanner to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to ensure patient and staff safety. Follow infection control practices and ensure all imaging equipment is cleaned and maintained. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the CT scanner is operating properly, performing routine maintenance, and reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel. Ensure the imaging area is clean and sterile. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that imaging results meet diagnostic needs and are provided in a timely manner. Patient Care: Monitor patients during the imaging procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort. Provide support to anxious or nervous patients and make accommodations for special needs or conditions as required. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and results. Ensure all patient records are maintained in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards. Quality Control: Ensure that all images meet quality control standards. Make adjustments to equipment settings as necessary to ensure high-quality imaging results. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in CT imaging technology and techniques. Participate in continuing education and training programs as required.
