Our work focuses on: Enhancing care for over 7 million Medicaid members in New York. Bridging quality and equity in Medicaid programs. Supporting health-related social needs (HRSN) services to address barriers to care. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented leader to join our team of professionals leveraging data to improve the Medicaid program. The Director, Data Aggregation and Analysis will oversee the design and delivery of quantitative analyses using various data sources. This role involves developing analytic frameworks, ensuring data privacy and security, managing analysts, and visualizing data for stakeholders. A key focus will be on Medicaid claims and HRSN data analysis to identify needs and gaps in service access. Key Responsibilities: Develop Research and Analytics Framework: Lead the development of a comprehensive research and analytics framework in collaboration with internal and external data aggregation and analysis colleagues. Manage Data Aggregation and Analysis: Manage aggregation and analysis of data from various sources to assess and address areas for improvement in health care quality and equity outcomes, including the identification of disparities in physical, behavioral, and HRSN service delivery. Lead Projects: Lead data analysis projects, utilizing your expertise in health informatics and large dataset management to conduct complex analyses and translate findings into actionable insights. Manage Teams: Manage data analysts (internal and subcontract), provide oversight, mentorship, and direction, ensuring accurate analysis and descriptive narrative. Facilitate Data Visualization: Facilitate the visualization of aggregated and de-identified level data analyses via Tableau dashboards for internal, key stakeholders, and broader public audiences. Manage Data Infrastructure: Manage data infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient management of data access points, and compliance with privacy and security protocols. Collaborate with External Partners: Collaborate with external partners on developing capacity for integrating disparate data sets in an administrative data research facility with external researcher enclave capabilities to facilitate the continuous evaluation of specific initiatives and data-driven evidence-based policy making and program management. Collaborate with Internal Colleagues: Collaborate seamlessly with internal colleagues leading work streams focused on regional needs assessment and planning, and value-based payment. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare research and analytics. Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts. Medicaid Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicaid data and healthcare informatics principles. Technical Skills: Expertise in large dataset manipulation and analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python). Data Visualization: Proficiency in data visualization software such as Tableau. Data Aggregation: Experience with data aggregation logistics, including data security protocols. Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Insight Translation: Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people and projects on time and within budget. Preferred Qualifications: Educational Background: Master's degree preferred in data science, health informatics, public health, public policy, public administration, or a closely related field (additional professional or lived experience could substitute for an advanced degree). #J-18808-Ljbffr
