Role Overview SodexoMagic is seeking a Lab Services Support Specialist for a Life Science client in Rahway , NJ . In this role, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring inventory management, lab services, and purchase order administration run smoothly. You'll handle consumables, uniforms, lab coats, safety shoes, gases, and ad hoc orders, while efficiently managing vendor invoices. Your attention to detail and dedication to customer service will ensure timely delivery of essential resources to the research community. Additionally, you will manage manifest returns and ensure compliance with site regulations, supporting smooth lab operations. What You'll Do Place, track, and manage purchase orders using vendor systems such as Maximo & Ariba, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation of orders, quotes, invoices, and order confirmations. Manage inventory for supplies, lab coats, uniforms, cylinder gases, detergents, and union winterwear, ensuring accurate counts and timely restocking. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, colleagues, and scientists to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or changes. Perform audits, inspections, and compliance checks for vendors, ensuring all training, access, and procedures are followed. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and support the team in achieving cost savings and site-specific targets. Collaborate with the Lab & Logistics Services team to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain high customer satisfaction through leadership, responsiveness, and creative problem-solving. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and multitask effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lift up to 50lbs when needed.
