The CNC Mill Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. This role requires a great understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing, as well as the ability to accurately and efficiently set up complex jobs. Edit programs. Mount and secure workpieces on fixtures and vises. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, and other tooling components. Load and unload workpieces and materials. Verify tool offsets and machine parameters. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality standards. Document all setup and machining activities. Maintenance and Safety: Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
