If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG and The PhD Project Board of Directors are currently seeking a Chief Executive Officer and President for The PhD Project.Responsibilities:Serve as a dynamic and visionary leader for a $3M non-profit membership-based 501(c)(3) organization; this position resides within KPMG but is 100% dedicated to leading The PhD Project; the Chief Executive Officer and President of the PhD Project will have a dual reporting line to both a KPMG leader and the Chair of The PhD Project Board of Directors.Lead and oversee all aspects of The PhD Project's operations, with a specific focus on promoting inclusiveness in higher education, particularly within the field of business PhDs; develop and implement a strategic vision and plan to advance the organization's mission and goals; lead the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives that promote diversity in higher education.Oversee the organization's budget, financial planning, and fundraising efforts to ensure sustainable growth and financial stability.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, donors, and the broader community; serve as a passionate advocate for inclusive excellence in higher education, representing the organization at conferences, events, and other public forums.Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide strategic guidance, support, and regular updates on organizational performance; direct and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment; handle crises and navigate challenging situations.Qualifications:Minimum five years of recent experience in an executive leadership role within a non-profit, academic, or corporate organization.Strong understanding of the higher education landscape, particularly in relation to business PhD programs and diversity initiatives.Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and financial management, with a track record of successfully securing funding from various sources.Proven ability to think strategically, develop long-term plans, and execute on organizational goals.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders; be skilled at making difficult decisions, managing conflicts, and maintaining calm and effective leadership during times of uncertainty.Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion and excellence in higher education, with a focus on business PhDs.KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
