At CA, collaboration wins, kindness matters and we hold true to a culture that enables you to succeed.Investment Director, Tax StrategyAs CA's Private Client Practice has grown over the years, so too has the need for strong internal resources in the tax and regulatory matters that are applicable to private clients and their investments. The Director of Tax Strategy will work closely with our Senior Director, Tax Strategy and our Head of Private Wealth Strategies to recommend and disseminate tax-related strategy and knowledge with respect to investing on behalf of private clients.Primary Responsibilities:Generally, in conjunction with the Senior Director, Tax Strategy, work with investment teams, as well as colleagues in Research, Business Development, Legal, and Operations, to serve as an internal and external resource in matters relating to tax (including income tax, transfer tax, and international/cross-border tax), securities regulation, investment vehicle selection, and compliance when constructing and maintaining client portfolios.In conjunction with investment teams and others, serve as an external resource for clients and their advisors, as circumstances and client needs warrant, and participate in business development efforts.Partner with investment teams and others to ensure thorough understanding of tax, vehicle, and similar considerations when onboarding and serving new and existing clients.Partner with research teams and others to obtain, summarize, and disseminate helpful tax and vehicle information regarding specific investment strategies, managers, and funds.Develop and maintain ongoing knowledge of tax, regulatory, compliance, and other matters relevant to CA clients (including outside the U.S., as needed for regions of business growth), as well as updates, databases, quantitative analyses, research content, and other resources for internal and external use.Support the development of publications and other client-ready materials outlining CA's perspective on tax and similar matters impacting private clients and their investments, as well as internal materials and presentations for colleagues.Qualifications:J.D. with at least three to five years of experience as a tax, investment, securities, and/or funds attorney (or as an attorney in trusts and estates or other fields, but with substantial exposure to tax, investment, securities, or fund matters), plus strong ability to acquire and develop additional knowledge and expertise in these areas and in investment areas, as needed.Ability to work, communicate, and interact with colleagues and external contacts in an effective and professional manner.Ability to assume responsibility for multiple projects and resolve them effectively, in collaboration with Senior Director, Tax Strategy and other colleagues and increasingly over time with minimal supervision.Ability to deal discreetly with sensitive, confidential information concerning clients and corporate affairs.Strong writing and research skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Candidate must commit to passing the Series 3 exam within the first three months of employment.Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.#J-18808-Ljbffr
