We are seeking a water/wastewater treatment operator in Napa County, CA.Why join us?6 month Contract to hire- site visits to 4 different water/wastewater treatment facilities near Lake Berryessa, CA.Full benefits while on contract include:Company Car and Gas cardMedical, dental, vision and 401k (75% paid for worker, 25% for dependents)40 hours sick payOnce brought on permanent the following benefits apply.100% paid benefits medical, dental, and vision for employee and 2/3 of healthcare costs for family401K11 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday of your choosing80 hours sick pay each year80 hours vacation each year (accrued 6.68/month)Job DetailsProvide support to the Supervising OperatorMaintain logs of daily activitiesPerform field duties related to installing, repairing, and maintaining water/wastewater systems.Provide janitorial services as directedProvide landscaping maintenance as requiredAssist in road maintenance and repairRepair basic equipment such as chemical feed pumps, water pumps, etc.Repair water leaks on mainline and service linesAssist with flushing of sanitary system and clearing of blocked sewer linesPerform routine maintenance on equipment and vehiclesRead water metersPerform routine weekend checks of FacilitiesRecognize and follow safe water conditions in all job duties performedPerform other duties or special projects as directed by the supervisorOccasional travel may be requiredPerforms skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of the water treatment plantEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSCalifornia Water Treatment Certification Grade II or higher (required)California Water Distribution Certification Grade II or higher (required)California Wastewater Treatment Certification Grade II or higher (required)Possession of a valid California Driver's License (Class C), with a clean driving recordKnowledge of basic equipment and vehicle maintenanceAbove average computer and GPS skills (working knowledge of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)A positive can-do attitude, team player, and independent workerGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsCalifornia Water Treatment Certification Grade II or higherCalifornia Water Distribution Certification Grade II or higherCalifornia Wastewater Treatment Certification Grade II or higherInterested in hearing more?
