Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Overall Mission The Driver & Warehouse Assistant will report to the Operations Manager, focusing on the pick-up and delivery of Bluebird/CRYOPDP's temperature-controlled shipments between the warehouse and client locations (including airport drops and recoveries). Main Contribution Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): * Stock control, including periodic cycle counts of product and packaging material * Preparing & conditioning TCP, including handling of phase change materials * Recording data and all information regarding temperature-controlled packaging * Physically picking and packing materials * Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle * Assist with preparing and charging vapor shipping tanks (dry shippers) with liquid nitrogen, according to charging and safety procedures * Communicate directly with clients during delivery and pick-up assignments * Comply with all TSA Regulations (i.e.; planned route, lock vehicle at all times, etc.) * Complete driver logs and reports as assigned * Receive empty dry shippers; clean, sanitize, and make ready for next use * Comply with quality & safety guidelines for handling materials and operating equipment * Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes * Follow routes and schedule * Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints * Follow DOT regulations and safety standards * Ensure all traffic laws are observed * Ensure safety precautions are implemented and maintained during transit and while in the warehouse * Perform other duties as assigned Working hours Standard shift is Monday to Friday, but due to the nature of our 24/7 operation this position will be required to assist with occasional out-of-hours and weekend cover. Specific Experience & Knowledge Required * Safety culture and quality-oriented * Clean Driving record, free of moving violations for 3 years prior * Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in all weather and traffic conditions * Familiar with airline documentation and TSA Regulations * Experience with major airlines and their processes when tendering and recovering shipments. * Experience with TSA Security measures as per TSA Security Training offerings * Ability to learn and operate data logger devices, handheld scanners, and other power equipment as directed * Working knowledge in cold chain management/strong in cold chain facilities (willing to train) Interpersonal Skills Required: * Rigorous attention to detail * Highly organized with and above average prioritization skills * Able to communicate with clarity and impact * Strong customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency * Collaborative Team player * Flexible and adaptable Compensation: $26 hour CRYOPDP is an Equal Opportunity employer offering competitive compensation and exceptional benefits including health, dental, vision, disability insurances, 401K match and company equity (Nasdaq:CYRX).
