DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Program Director in the Youth Development & Social Responsibility Operations has direct responsibility of Leading the YMCA Cause, Creating an Impact, Developing Resources, and Protecting the Organization with an operational responsibility of supervising multiple CC/AS and camp program. Specifically, the Program Director is responsible for implementing the Y mission, strategic goals, key initiatives and core values. This involves all aspects of developing and delivering high quality Youth Development & Social Responsibility programs, building and retaining an outstanding staff, and establishing the YMCA as a vital force for local community development.SALARY RANGE:$78,500 - $80,000/YearESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Analyze, strategize, visualize, identify problems, and reach conclusions to create and implement action within the programRecruit, retain and coach staff; maintain a positive attitude and conduct with total staff team as a positive adult role model including supporting developmental assets within the community.Develop programs to positively meet the needs of the members/community it serves.Collaborate across regions to support the organization in the pursuit of high program qualityAdvance key initiatives and projects to advance the strategic plan throughout childcare, after school and campDemonstrate program growth, participant retention, program quality, community impact and, member and staff satisfactionDevelop and monitor the budget to achieve financial goalsActively participate in annual campaign and lead site directors to successful participation in branch campaigns to increase financial aid resourcesActively support volunteer involvement in all childcare, after school and camp programsAdhere to all association policies, best practices and requirements in risk and safety, fiscal stewardship, internal organizational and external regulatory compliance to protect the health and reputation of the YMCA of Silicon Valley.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth.
