Gentry Service Group located in Swannanoa, NC is seeking an Inventory Specialist. A half-century later, we remain focused on providing quality, dependable service at a competitive price.Job Title: Inventory Specialist Work Hours: Monday to Friday (Some overtime required)Pay Scale: $17.75 to $26.00 - depending on experienceBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 15 Paid Vacation Days, 9 Paid Holidays, IRA, Company Match, fitness facility, access to 24/7 chaplain, faith-based organization with high emphasis on importance of family.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Inventory Specialist is experienced in, and responsible for performing administrative and physical tasks within the warehouse while managing and optimizing all warehouse inventory levels to achieve the company's service level goal. Inventory Specialist will also train personnel on inventory handling, oversee warehouse workflow, and perform PIT training and certification. Major responsibilities include:Determine and maintain minimum stock levels for reorder. Properly organize warehouse for staging of projects.Utilize system reports and knowledge of warehouse activities to maintain accurate inventory levels.Communicate all significant inventory information to leadership while proposing solutions regarding all issues related to inventory.Evaluate inventory levels, adjusting min/max levels, safety stock, and lead times to ensure sufficient supply to meet customer needs.Identify and analyze product trends by supplier and by item.Ensure warehouse storage areas are clean and organized, maintain office supply inventory.Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, and other team members.Direct cycle count program and perform cycle counts.Provide leadership to perform physical inventory counts during annual inventory.Review receiving/picking process if inventory variances occur, instruct and train staff on accurate techniques.Train/certify operators on forklift and other PIT.Maintain and advise inventory processes and procedures to reflect best practices.Maintain stock and inventory counts on company vans.Update pricing monthly to ensure we are current.Perform other duties as assigned.
