Position Title: Information Systems Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Chief Operations Officer Scope: The Information Systems Manager will provide technical assistance to UHN team members. Responsibilities will include ensuring optimal capability of hardware and software technologies, enhancing information systems performance, and securing data. Additionally, the role involves making recommendations for IT equipment and software upgrades, and promoting information technology goals of the business. Essential Duties: Research and recommend strategies that will advance the organization's utilization of cutting-edge IT technology. Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items. Review diagnostics and routinely assess the functionality of the information systems. Implement security measures. Provide technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer issues. Update and install company software and hardware as needed. Increase productivity by ensuring that all IT systems operate effectively and perform efficiently. Collaborate with department managers, supervisors, and other UHN personnel regarding software or hardware needs and desired objectives. Research software or hardware that fulfills UHN needs, assure compatibility, purchase, document procedures/instructions, install and test, and train associates regarding use. Train end-users on all hardware, software, and system performance metrics. Update software as well as upgrade hardware and systems. Maintain databases and ensure system security. Document processes and perform or arrange diagnostic testing. Work with contract service providers for outside IT support as needed. Develop strategies that minimize risk or interruption to the information technology systems. Coordinate strategic IT planning for the company, including expenses, objectives, and risk assessment. Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, related field, or commensurate experience. Preferred 3-5 years of experience in IT support. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks. Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users. Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics. Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Perform in a manner consistent with Company Vision/Mission Statement and Core Values. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
