We embody the following values: BE COMMITTED DO THE RIGHT THING SEEK ADVENTURE JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to craft and implement effective learning initiatives that empower our team. This role involves designing, managing, and aligning learning programs with professional growth opportunities to help our employees excel in their roles and achieve their career goals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with consulting experience who thrives on fostering development in a dynamic environment. With firm-wide visibility and integration across all groups within the organization, this position requires someone who is passionate about building a robust L&D program while cultivating a growth mindset among employees. This individual will be joining an energetic, tuned-in, HR team that cares greatly about the company, the people, and each other. As a data-driven company, measuring the impact of L&D initiatives is key to our success. The individual stepping into this role will have the chance to broaden their expertise, working across all organizational levels while focusing on the critical details of skill development. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule of approximately 30 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. RESPONSIBILITIES Build & Facilitate Internal Learning Content Iterate and refine our current L&D training programs including:New Hire Onboarding for both junior and mid-level hires Ongoing skills development by level Company-wide Lunch & Learn sessions and other learning-focused initiatives Assess current programs ROI and expand or refine to meet our growing staff talent needs to support organizational success Build and facilitate internal learning content:Lead engaging and interactive courses, particularly for new hire onboarding at all levels using a variety of facilitation techniques to maximize engagement Collaborate with other staff to design and develop comprehensive training materials including presentations, case studies, activities and assessments Manage Competency Frameworks & Training Iteration Continuously refine role-based competencies and corresponding training to support individuals' professional development goals In partnership with HR, foster and promote a culture of self-driven development by equipping staff with the tools and knowledge to maintain a growth mindset Knowledge Management Collection and Documentation: Systematically gather key learnings, frameworks, slides, and graphics from completed projects Resource Curation: Evaluate the relevance and quality of collected materials, ensuring only the most valuable assets are documented Repository Management: Develop and maintain a searchable, user-friendly library or repository that houses all documented knowledge assets Facilitation: Enable easy access and sharing of knowledge across the firm, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Coordinate and schedule training sessions and learning calendars Partner with and maintain external vendor relationships Track and manage certification completion and learning modules by leveraging our internal systems and other tools such as role-specific one-pagers. Monitor and assess ongoing vendor relationships, internal L&D systems in collaboration with HR Additional projects: There will be opportunities for this role to expand in scope with additional ways to support internal HR firm initiatives Promote and manage thought leadership in partnership with leadership team WHO YOU ARE You have a growth-mindset: you thrive on cultivating a culture of continuous learning and growth A practical problem solver: you take initiative and are eager to identify gaps and design solutions to align with organizational goals Collaborative and excel at building strong relationships across teams and individual employees to help drive learning initiatives forward Detailed oriented with strategic thinking: you are able to balance big-picture thinking with an acute focus on execution Data driven and results-oriented: you prioritize measurement and impact of L&D initiatives by leveraging data to continuously improve and demonstrate value 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development with a focus on program design, facilitation, and evaluation and/OR Prior experience in consulting or acting in a consultant capacity for a professional services firm Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across all levels of an organization Analytical mindset, with the ability to measure the impact of learning initiatives and translate data into action This role can be based in our Boston, MA, Brooklyn, NY offices or remote. If remote, we would require quarterly travel to the Boston office and likely additional periodic travel for new hire onboarding. This role is part of the Human Resources function reporting into the Director of HR, and will not have any direct people management responsibilities.
