General Manager - Little Shucker We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our team at Little Shucker, an upscale yet casual seafood restaurant in Pacific Heights. Located on Fillmore Street, Little Shucker offers a modern dining experience centered around an extensive raw bar and seasonal dishes and entrées. Our thoughtfully curated wine program is an integral part of the experience, highlighting crisp whites, sparkling wines, and various other selections that pair well with our menu. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while upholding our commitment to exceptional hospitality, quality food, and a vibrant guest experience. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about seafood, hospitality, and wine. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless service and an outstanding guest experience. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and professional work environment. Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations for front-of-house staff. Maintain and enhance our wine program, ensuring thoughtful pairings and knowledgeable service. Collaborate with the CDC to uphold menu integrity and ensure exceptional food quality. Maintain financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and labor and revenue targets. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations. Cultivate a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and operational excellence. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a General Manager or in a leadership role within a high-volume, upscale-casual or fine dining restaurant. Strong leadership and team-building skills with a passion for hospitality. Proven ability to manage financials, including PandL statements, labor costs, and inventory. Deep knowledge and enthusiasm for wine, particularly seafood-friendly selections. Sommelier certification or equivalent experience is a plus. Experience with staff wine training and pairing recommendations. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable) and POS software (Toast).
