Veterinarian (Internship Training Required) Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill is hiring an internship trained Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical care to a variety of animal patients. What to Expect Salary: $170,000 - $180,000 plus production Location: 944 Fulton St., Brooklyn, NY 11238 Hours of operation: Monday - Wednesday: 9am - 7pm Thursday - Friday: 9am - 5 pm Saturday: 10am - 4pm Sunday: Closed As you join our mission to provide exceptional veterinary care, expect to be supported in your work and personal life with: * A schedule that respects your time. You'll be scheduled for 4 shifts/week (32-35 hours per week) that meet your needs for work/life balance. No on-call duties or holiday work are required! We prioritize high-quality, personalized care by scheduling 30-minute appointments, giving our veterinarians ample time to assess patients, discuss treatment options, and build strong client relationships. You'll have the opportunity to provide thorough diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up care while working with a supportive team in a well-equipped environment. * A minimum 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support-and respect-you need to be excellent for our patients. We've got your back. Requirements: * A valid New York State Veterinary License (in good standing) prior to the start date. * DVM or VMD degree required. * Internship training (Small Animal or Emergency). * At least 2 years of post-internship experience. About Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill Our full-service veterinary hospital offers a comprehensive range of services designed to address all aspects of our patients' health. These include general wellness care, holistic treatments, vaccinations, dental care, progressive diagnostics, and surgical procedures. Preventive care is a cornerstone of our philosophy, helping pets enjoy long, happy lives. We emphasize the importance of regular check-ups and early detection to maintain optimal health and promote a long, happy life. We encourage healthy pets to visit regularly, staying on top of their wellness needs and ensuring early detection of any potential health issues. Here, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment where you'll see approximately 16-18 pets per day, with 30-minute GP appointments and one surgery day per week (performing 2-3 surgeries and dentals per day). You will also manage 4-6 drop-offs and walk-ins per shift. We focus on cats and dogs and provide daytime urgent care/emergency treatment, but overnight hospitalization and after-hours care is not offered at this facility (one of our sister locations provides this). Because surgery is not a requirement, we welcome those who prefer seeing appointments only; however, common surgeries include spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals. This is a client-facing role that requires exceptional customer service skills, as many of our loyal clients have been with us for years. Our highly trained support staff ensures that our veterinarians can concentrate on patient care, without needing to handle technician tasks.
