Position Purpose: Under minimal supervision, the Case Management Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising and coaching the Suit Audit/Case Management team to provide legal processing support for internal and external customers. Responsible for resolving client issues, meeting or exceeding department performance metrics, and supporting customer and employee retention.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Acts as a liaison between Attorneys and staff ensuring work is completed properly, meeting both client and compliance standards and federal collection laws.Serves as a knowledge expert for relevant laws, government regulations, and collections practices.Maintains current knowledge of legal procedures, deadlines and procedures for appropriate documents.May process legal documents and oversee client billing specific to assigned specialty area as applicable.Assist and complete monthly billing entries as applicable.Studies and standardizes workflow, processes and procedures to improve department efficiency and even distribution of work.Interfaces with management teams of other business units to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.Evaluates employee performance, administers discipline, resolves employee issues and conflicts and maintains proper records to ensure day-to-day responsibilities are handled accordingly.Reviews employee e-time entries, approves overtime and time-off requests, and coordinates employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing.Provide technical, advisory, and motivational support to the department to ensure both positive customer and team member experiences.Participates in interviewing, selection, and coordinating training for new employees.Coordinates and oversees special projects.Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.Additional duties as requested or required.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Paralegal studies required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.3 - 5 years of experience in legal field with progressive levels of responsibility preferred.Displays strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations.Ability to handle more complex work and/or clients.Able to manage a higher than average number of direct reports.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Strong interpersonal skills, high energy level and positive attitude.Knowledge of applicable collection laws.Proficient skills in Microsoft applications which include Word and Excel.Experience with billing software.Work Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at the work station for extended periods.
