Mechanical Field Service Technician

Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Mechanical Field Service Technicians for projects located in and around Chesapeake, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $25/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope: + Service paper mills, power plants, water treatment plants, etc. + Removal & re-installation of equipment serviced in shop; electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, etc. + Utilize basic rigging skills to safely move equipment on and off foundations and transportation means + Precision alignment of rotating equipment + Use dial indicator & laser alignment equipment + Perform mechanical diagnostics on operational equipment utilizing vibration analysis with along with physical inspection and visual examination + Work on existing equipment in customer facilities; perform in place repairs and field maintenance + Interface with end users/customers to assist in determining the cause of mechanical failures and to help produce proactive solutions to mechanical failures + Other tasks as assigned Requirements: + 2+ Years working in a Mechanical Environment + Must be familiar with an industrial Safety Environment + Knowledge of Rigging Practices + High Mechanical Aptitude + Clean driving record + Must pass background check & drug screen + Must be willing to work on call needed + Ability to lift up to 50lbs + Excellent verbal and written communication skills Company Details Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
