Field Service Mechanic - Aftermarket - Specialty ...

We are looking for a Field Service Mechanic to support our products while in the field or at customer sites in specialty areas such as power plant, heating, mechanical contracting, and industrial products, including packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and other boiler plant equipment for various applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspection of equipment to diagnose operational problems Perform repairs, replace gaskets and miscellaneous controls & parts Perform annual maintenance inspections Troubleshoot and repair burners, all manufactures Installation of new, low-emissions burners Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation component/systems Commission, troubleshoot and adjust combustion on a variety of burners and boilers Document parts required for replacement & repair and provide detailed written documentation outlining services rendered Request materials needed to complete tasks within company guidelines and budgets Travel to multiple locations and transport materials to and from specific destinations (vehicle provided) Submit electronic paperwork daily To succeed you will need: 3+ years of boiler installation and maintenance experience Ability to travel (on average) 25 - 35% Valid driver's license required; must be insurable with no major infractions Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Electrical and mechanical experience is a must, preferably in an industrial environment Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Experience with lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting Familiarity with LOTO, and prior demonstrated experience with draining/filling/operating/troubleshooting/inspecting/testing hot water and steam boilers strongly preferred In return, we offer: We believe and foster a learning culture where global mobility is an important enabler for growth.
