National Grid is hiring a Workforce Planning Consultant for our Global Strategic Workforce Planning Team. This position can be located in Waltham, MA or Brooklyn, NY. The opportunity We are looking for a dynamic Workforce Planning Consultant to join the Global Strategic Workforce Planning Team at National Grid. National Grid is at the forefront of the energy transition to Net Zero in the UK and our US jurisdictions. We need to deliver on more infrastructure development projects in the next 10 years than ever before and fundamentally change the way our grid works to achieve our Net Zero ambitions. At the core of this will be the need to ensure that we have the best people in the right place at the right time, during a period where the entire energy job market is as buoyant as it's ever been, and the competition for key talent is fierce. What you'll be working on Collaborating with business workforce planners to facilitate the development of long range annual Strategic Workforce Plans and Quarterly Planning Process. Support business workforce planners, HRBPs and Recruiting Partners in ensuring short term plans and actions are happening in accordance with plans. Gathering, analysing and presenting workforce planning data which informs and enables HR programs and provides the business with meaningful, actionable insights. Elevating discussions on systemic challenges and unrealized potential to transform people planning and practices for the better. Change management and adoption of new Strategic Workforce Planning tool "˜Orgvue' driving simplicity and efficiency to business workforce planners, stakeholders. Maintaining customized analytics, process and role based permissioning in SWP tool. Assisting in development and maintenance of annual and quarterly calendar for SWP aligned with other key financial planning processes. Analysing existing and new data sources, systems and tools to enable the teams to consume and understand data more intuitively. Working closely with the people analytics team to drive quantitative workforce analytics and forecasts. Being a thought partner to manage a wide array of stakeholders and consumers of strategic workforce planning insights throughout the organisation. About you Proven data experience in Workforce Planning, People Analytics or other People Operations. Proficient in Excel and strong PowerPoint skills to simplify data, insights for senior audiences. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with business stakeholders to influence, discuss and explain analytics to non-technical stakeholders. Strong business acumen, analytical and the ability to think systematically and holistically. Experience telling a story using data and extracting key insights, helping stakeholders drive action. Knowledge of HR practices, reward, talent management, organizational development, and labour market trends. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy of results, especially in times of rapid turn-around needs. Demonstrated judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data or projects. Practiced at developing working relationships quickly and effectively across all levels of an organisation and thriving in a collaborative team environment.
