This role involves hands-on tasks such as planting, maintaining crops, and ensuring the farm operates efficiently. Job Responsibilities: * Assist with planting, transplanting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting crops for the MIU Student Organic Farm. * Operate irrigation systems to ensure crops receive adequate water. * Maintain and clean farm equipment and tools. * Load harvested agricultural products for transportation to market facilities. * Support general upkeep and maintenance of farm structures, including greenhouses and the main building. * Assist with the tracking and reporting of farm activities and product yields. Job Qualifications: * Basic Agricultural Knowledge: No prior experience required; training provided on-site. * Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hand tools and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. * Team Player: Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive farm environment. * Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor crops for signs of pests, diseases, or deficiencies and take corrective actions when necessary. * Physical Stamina: Comfort with working outdoors in varying weather conditions and physical activity.
