Production SupervisorPosition Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process within our facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. This role involves leading a team, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations in a meat processing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily production operations and ensure adherence to production schedules.Lead, mentor, and develop production team members to enhance their skills and performance.Implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure products meet the required standards.Manage inventory control and oversee the proper use of materials and resources.Coordinate equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.Facilitate training and development programs for staff to enhance their capabilities.Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsProven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in food manufacturing or meat processing.Strong team leadership and people management skills.Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.Knowledge of quality assurance practices and food safety regulations.Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.Familiarity with inventory control processes and practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
