Position Overview Title: Truck Driver II Reports to: Direct Reports: Overview This position is responsible for driving a company truck, such as a lugger truck, roll-off truck and tractor trailer, and switching trailers or containers at customer account locations. Also responsible for other driving assignments as directed by Dispatch. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values. Must have a valid driver's license. Accountabilities Truck Driver I & II - This position is Saturday - Wednesday 5am to 5pm Goes over the day's schedule and meets or exceeds daily runs and communicates exceptions with the dispatcher. Understands department goals for efficiency and sets personal goals to meet or exceed the standards. Service customer locations, listens to and solves customer problems, and always maintains good customer relations. Provide outstanding customer service as a service representative for the company. Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh all loads and perform initial material inspections. Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks and trip reports. Complete and submit necessary reports, such as accident damage and traffic violation reports. Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection. Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required. Inspect loads and tarp/secure loads when necessary. Maintain inside of truck. Enters trip data into truck computer and be able to operate Nextel phones. Models behaviors as stated in Company Values. Be cross trained in different trucks. (Truck Driver II) Uses good judgment and ensures a safe work environment, adheres to posted speed limits. Accountable for preventing and avoiding flat tires. Completes scrap material ID sheets. Other duties as necessary. #IND123 Qualifications Two year's experience driving similar vehicles. (Truck Driver II). High school diploma. CDL Class A license required and a clean driving record. Lift up to 75 lbs while chaining. Legible handwriting. Strong mathematical skills. Ability to work independently and be detailed oriented. Ability to maintain logbooks. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
