Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:The Production Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing the production schedule to meet on time deliveries/customer demands. This is done by maintaining and controlling the Production schedule and working with production manager/team leaders to assign and meet deliveries. The production schedule runs daily to analyze and release orders to production according to customer requirements.Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Planning and Managing Production SchedulePlan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacityMaintain job board with listing and spreadsheet of all jobs on the production floor by assemblerMaintain upcoming job spreadsheets for HPU and Automation ordersCreate and maintain job followers for projectsMaintain job/inspection checklist for each assembly job released to productionPrepare reports, maintain files and assign workTrack and provide report outs of KPIs to department manager(s)Analyze and Release Sales OrdersRevise ship dates as needed and re-acknowledge accordingly Check orders for missing componentsRevise and reschedule orders to compensate for rush order priorities, material shortages, vendors' failure to deliver or customer cancellationsAnalyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirementsCompletes shipping information and delivery date input during sales order reviewsCollaborate with other DepartmentsCollaborate with inventory control, purchasing, engineering and outside sales on issues regarding production ordersCreate and maintain expedite and part issue spreadsheets and communicate requested with purchasing/admin supportUpdate sales and engineering on components outside of the normal lead times; check alternativesUpdate production manager on status of upcoming and current jobs in productionCommunicates crate requirements with Inventory Control for shipment of HPUInterfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issuesPlan and co-ordinate weekly production meetings with respective department representativesClerical/General AdministrativeRespond to routine emails, phone calls, etc.Make copies, print documents, etc.File paperworkAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
