Our most highly ranked specialties include diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, nephrology, neurology, and neurosurgery.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Vice President (VP) of Mount Sinai Children's and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Kravis Children's Hospital plays a critical role in ensuring the strategic execution of the hospital's goals and initiatives. The VP/COO acts as a primary advisor and decision-maker and serves as a member of the Kravis Children's Hospital leadership team. This position is responsible for driving cross-functional activities and projects, determining priorities, and facilitating the implementation of strategic initiatives. The VP/COO will make key decisions, manage crises, streamline processes, and remove barriers to achieving strategic system-wide goals.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee daily clinical operations, addressing emergent issues in partnership with the CMO and CNO.Establish close relationships with executive services to facilitate care delivery.Participate in the administrative on-call schedule and manage emergent clinical and operational issues.Design and implement best practices and standards in clinical and operational care delivery across all pediatric care aspects.Ensure execution of ACS and participation in key registries and programs (e.g., ELSO Center of Excellence).Collaborate with facilities management for the Kravis Children's Hospital revitalization.Work with the Medical Director/Officer of Pediatric Quality and Safety to develop quality improvement initiatives.Collaborate with the Chief Patient Experience Officer to improve patient experience.Develop the capital budget process for Mount Sinai Children's and the Kravis Children's Hospital.Expand telehealth and other technological advancements to improve care coordination and services.Foster care coordination and develop programs for effective transition from inpatient to ambulatory care.Maintain and support institutional culture and vision.Advance and lead a balanced growth strategy for Mount Sinai Children's, the Kravis Children's Hospital, and the MSHS.Champion the development and execution of strategic initiatives for Mount Sinai Kravis.Collaborate with Development leadership to further the mission of Pediatrics.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated success in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Deep understanding of key stakeholders in Mount Sinai's communities and the broader healthcare industry.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.Proven project management skills, including prioritization and problem solving.Medical Degree from an Accredited University and New York Medical License.If you are interested in being considered for the Vice President of Mount Sinai Children's and Chief Operating Officer of the Kravis Children's Hospital role, please send your CV and a statement of interest to Shema Patel at levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAdministrative, Business Development, and Health Care ProviderIndustriesHospitals and Health Care#J-18808-Ljbffr
