Since opening our doors, we have provided care and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals in crisis.What You'll Do: The Payment Resolution Specialist contributes to the financial viability of the organization by assuring that payments have been properly posted to patient accounts. Responsibilities include processing and reconciliation of all deposited funds. This position requires discretion and good judgment in decision-making and representation of Connections Healthcare Solutions. Work situations are varied and require extensive payment resolution knowledge, and strong customer service skills. This position provides the link in communication between Connections Healthcare Solutions and the patient, insurance companies/third party payers and the provider of service or departmental staff. The Payment Resolution Specialist performs these functions at a complex level of implementation, analysis, and resolution. Ensure daily download of EFT and SFTP files for upload into the electronic practice management system (EPM) for automatic and manual posting.Coordinates upload of EFT transactions, create electronic batch files, update the spreadsheet, and ensure daily balancing of receipts to EPM posting balances. Create and save files in appropriate monthly folder for future review.Meets productivity requirements as set within the department.Utilize various accounting systems, secured payer sites, and processes to obtain electronic funds data for posting and reconciliation.Completes daily posting reconciliation according to department requirements.Supports outside vendor with naming electronic batches for posting.Uploads images, validates sources, and total deposits from electronic vendors, lockbox, and performs accounting level functions to balance daily.Allocate and prepare batches for daily application and acts as a functional leader or reference source.Troubleshoots open and unbalanced items prior to month end close to ensure resolution.Ensure credit balances are processed for refunds timely in accordance with state and federal guidelines and requirements.Works closely with the accounting, RCM, and outside vendors (Net Smart) to ensure complete account reconciliation prior to month end close.Follows up with payers for missing documentation needed to post electronic or paper payment posting. Maintain records of requests and receipt dates of missing data through notations in clearinghouse (WAYSTAR) and Avatar.Performs all other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: High School diploma or GED2 years of medical payment posting and reconciliation experience2 years accounting or business office experience (ability to reconcile and balance large payer remittances)1 year of experience working in a remote environment2 years of proficient knowledge of excel and windows applicationsThe Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
