We are currently hiring Maintenance Mechanic for a premier Manufacturing company! Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Payrate Starting rate: $32-34 DOE The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for setting up repairs, rebuilding and installing production equipment to insure continuous production of all products. Repairs malfunctioning production equipment; i.e., fillers, conveyors, drives, coolers, palletizing and boxing components. Installs new equipment or replaces equipment as required and sets up line for product changeovers as required. The maintenance Mechanic's is to be the primary technical leader on the shift responsible for all planned maintenance, trouble-shooting, and reducing downtime due to equipment failure. Assists with the training of operators to recognize and report potential equipment malfunctions and failures as well as to ensure knowledge and assist with preventive maintenance. The role requires a person that can analyze mechanical and operational problems and initiate plans for corrective action. Make necessary corrective repairs and running adjustments to maintain maximum production, safety and quality with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment such as mechanical drives, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and conveyors. Machining and fabrication skills are necessary. Previous experience with TPM or Lean Manufacturing a plus. Working knowledge of computers required. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Technical School preferred. * 2+ years of experience as a line mechanic in a high-speed production environment; Food manufacturing/bottling preferred. * Must be self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and possess the ability to work with limited supervision. * Experience with Lean Manufacturing and TPM principles preferred. * Ability to use machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and test equipment. * Ability to read mechanical diagrams. * Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic controls and components . • Experience in pipe fitting, welding and machining Responsibilities: * Ability to work overtime as required * Good Attendance and punctuality * Must complete all PMs in a timely basis * Good professional manner * Teamwork Spirit * Must be able to pass background, drug-screen, and "fit for duty" exam. * Good manual dexterity and motor coordination, ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, bend, stoop and reach as well as wear all required PPE and protective clothing and accessories.
