Information Systems Security Officer (REQ 289)

Applied Physical Sciences is seeking a motivated and skilled Information Systems Security Officer to join our team at our Groton, CT location. On a daily basis, we live our motto: "Engineering Solutions through Science." Tasking may include: Develop and process Risk Management Framework documentation to obtain Approval to Operate for systems through Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other agencies. Provide ISSO support for our Groton, CT and Concord, MA locations. Conduct secure computer maintenance and auditing functions. Review new secure computers in accordance with DISA and JSIG requirements and the Risk Management Framework process. Assist with directing System Administrators in maintenance responsibilities. Perform other security functions as necessary to meet mission requirements. Work closely with our ISSM, Security Manager and Security Team to maintain our security posture. Position Requirements: Based in Groton, CT with the expectation to travel to Concord, MA up to one day a week. Good knowledge of the DISA STIGS, NIST 800-171 and Risk Management Framework. Excellent communication skills. Desired Attributes and Skills: Recent experience supporting Information Systems maintenance functions including auditing system access and usage. Familiarity with eMASS along with SCTM and Test Result Documentation. Familiarity with Compliance Checking and Vulnerability Scanning. DoD 8570 Technical Level II certification will be required within one year of start.
