Maintenance Utility Technician (M-F 7-3)

Key Responsibilities and Performance Expectations: * Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: * Performance Metric(s): Complete daily and weekly tasks in an efficient and timely manner. * Equipment Inspections: * Performance Metric(s): Conduct daily extruder inspections, including filter cleaning, lubrication, oil levels, and condensate pump checks, ensuring 100% operational readiness of all systems. * Auxiliary Equipment Inspections & Lubrications: * Performance Metric(s): Perform daily inspections, oil level checks, and lubrication of auxiliary equipment to help ensure optimization and production uptime. * Blending System Maintenance: * Performance Metric(s): Complete daily blending system equipment inspections and lubrication, aiming for zero unscheduled maintenance or breakdowns on blending systems. * Maintenance Technician Assistance: * Performance Metric(s): Aid Maintenance Technicians in maintenance tasks as available once daily tasks have been completed, contributing to a 10% increase in team efficiency. * Facility Maintenance: * Performance Metric(s): Complete minor facility maintenance and repairs, reducing overall facility-related downtime. * Workplace Organization & Efficiency: * Performance Metric(s): Contribute to 6S and TPM programs, improving workplace organization and production efficiency. * Wearable Parts Repairs/Rebuilds: * Performance Metric(s): Perform repairs or rebuilds on wearable parts with a target of reducing part replacements. * Additional Duties as Assigned: * Performance Metric(s): Complete all assigned tasks on time, contributing to the overall team's performance by maintaining an 85% task completion rate. Qualifications: * Technical Skills: * Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. * Assembly & Welding Skills: * Strong assembly skills and basic welding abilities are a plus. * Manufacturing Experience: * Experience in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments with a demonstrated ability to meet daily operational needs. * Mathematical & Problem-Solving Skills: * Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply them effectively in troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. * Communication Skills: * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both management and team members. * Self-Direction & Multitasking: * Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with minimal supervision. * Work Schedule Flexibility: * Must be flexible with work schedules, as needed, to accommodate business needs. Education Requirements: * Required: High School Diploma or GED * Preferred: Advanced education and/or related certifications Experience Requirements: * 1 year in manufacturing role with technical skills. Certifications & Skills: * Forklift Certification preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
