The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the baked goods and food manufacturing sector and be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This position will play a critical role in strategic decision making, working closely with the senior leadership team to drive business profitability and growth. As a key leader in the company, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, monthly reporting, and all other financial records.Why join us?Medical, Dental, & Vision insurance401k with company matchGenerous PTO & sick leaveWork from home flexibilityJob DetailsResponsibilities:Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.Communicate financial metrics and expectations to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including financial statements and other relevant reports to communicate financial performance and forecast to the management team.Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Advanced degree or professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) preferred.10+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.Proven proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.Proficient in SAP and other accounting software.Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to the company's financial success.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of an organization.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Interested in hearing more?
