We are looking for someone with a strong background in reinsurance accounting and a willingness to dig-in across multiple company financial functions to support next stage of company growth.Actively manages and develops the Accounting TeamMaintains accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reportingResponsible for accurate and timely recording of financial recordsDevelops and ensures adherence to controls delivering a strong culture of compliance and controlsResponsible for preparation and review of all GAAP and Statutory financial statementsResponsible for preparation and review of reinsurance statements and interactions including cessions and collateralCoordinates and oversees auditorsEnsure compliance with all government regulations including taxesPrepares and reviews general ledger entriesReviews balance sheet reconciliationsRemain well-educated on all technical accounting topicsProtects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidentialRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance7+ years related experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseReinsurance accounting experienceHighly ValuedProperty and Casualty Insurance Program experienceExperience with Workday Financial ManagementKeen ability to think and act strategically and tactically, planning for the long term while balancing the short-term needs of the organization.Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship management skillsA proactive approach to identifying financial challenges, proposing solutions, and efficiently resolving issuesCapability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholdersInterested in hearing more?
